Sky TV extends deadline for £50 Marks and Spencer vouchers offer
Sky have extended the deadline on their popular £50 of M&S vouchers offer. New Sky TV customers, signing up to any Sky TV package online, can get £50 of M&S vouchers - as long as they order before 4 February 2009.
Sky TV packages start at £16.50 a month for one entertainment pack, rising by £1 a month for each additional entertainment pack to a maximum of £21.50 for all six Sky TV entertainment packs. Premium packs – Sky Movies and Sky Sports – carry an extra charge. Currently subscribing to Movies, Sports and the six entertainment packs costs £46 a month.
Customers can select an existing Sky package, or build their own Sky combination – adding Sky TV, their chosen Sky box, plus Sky broadband and/or Sky Talk.
Those wanting to take advantage of this Sky TV offer need to be a new Sky TV customer, signing up online to Sky TV by 4 February 2009, and have their Sky TV activated by 31 March 2009 to be eligible for £50 of M&S vouchers.

BT Broadband offer extended
BT’s offer of £20 of your BT bill if you sign up to BT Total Broadband online, has had a date extension. New BT Broadband customers can now benefit if they sign up online to a BT Total Broadband package by 13 February 2009 (the offer was due to end today, 30 January).
There are four BT Total Broadband packages for new customers to choose from – all come with a BT HomeHub and have up to 8 meg download speeds.
All BT Total Broadband packages come with some free wifi minutes each month (the amount depends on the packge) and there are monthly broadband download allowances ranging from 10GB to unlimited (subject to a fair use policy).

Digital Britain Green Paper proposes 2Mb broadband access for all UK households
The Government’s new Digital Britain Green Paper is proposing that every household in Britain have access to a 2Mb broadband service by 2012 – possibly to be paid for by a levy on phone companies.
Other action points include making it easier for other companies to lay fibre optic to homes; examining whether the furtherance of next generation broadband will now need public money; and making public services easier to use online.

Sky HD Box only £49
Sky are offering a Sky HD Box for £49 for new custmers signing up to Sky HD, and to existing Sky TV customers upgrading to HD and agreeing to stay for 12 months. There is also a month free on the £9.75/month Sky HD Pack for customers signing up to Sky HD online.
The Sky HD Box can record up to 80 hours of standard programming or up to 30 hours of HD programming. It can also be used for remote record, Series Link, and recording/rewinding/pausing live TV.
The Sky HD Pack is a monthly subscription that Sky Hd customers need to receive Sky HD programming. There are 31 HD channels, and 11,000 hours of HD programming a month.

Sky TV offer from Sky Ireland
Sky Ireland customers signing up online can get a €25 credit.
The offer is open to new Sky TV customers in the Republic of Ireland who sign up online.
This offer is in addition to the Sky Ireland offer of a Sky Plus box for only €24.50 which is still running.
Sky Ireland TV packages start at €20.50 a month and all conme with a free bonus pack of terrestrial channels including RTE One and RTE Two.

Sky TV bring back £50 M&s vouchers offer
Sky have brought back their offer of £50 of M&S vouchers when users sign up to Sky TV.
As before, this Sky TV offer is open to new Sky TV customers only, who are signing up online. Customers signing up online will also get a £15 credit on their Sky account.
And for those choosing the standard Sky Box, installation is currently only £5.
All these Sky TV offers are be limited time offers ending on 27/01/09.
Sky TV starts at £16.50 a month. There are six Sky TV entertainment packs available, plus the premium packs Sky Movies and Sky Sports.

BT offer £20 off your bill when you sign up to BT Total Broadband
BT are offering new BT home broadband customers £20 off their bill – if they sign up to a BT Total Broadband package by 30 January 2009.
There are four eligible BT broadband packages – three fixed line broadband options, plus BT’s Broadband Anywhere mobile broadband package.
BT Broadband Option 1 is the cheapest option, at £7.78 per month for 3 months then £15.65 per month, on an 18 month contract.
All four of these BT broadband packages have broadband speeds of up to 8Mb, and free Openzone wifi minutes each month. Broadband download allowances start at 10GB a month. All the broadband packages from BT also come with a free BT Home Hub.

New customers signing up to Sky Ireland can get a Sky Plus Box for only 24.50 Euros – that is half the previous price.
With Sky Plus, users can rewind, pause and record live TV; record up to 40 hours of TV ; and record many TV series in one go with Series Link.

02 Broadband offers three months free broadband in new year sale
02 Broadband is offering three months free broadband – on their 02 Broadband Premium and 02 Broadband Pro packages.
Both these 02 Broadband packages have download speeds of up to 20Mb.

BBC iPlayer use continues to rise
BBC iPlayer use in December went up to 41 million BBC programme requests – up from 35 million BBC programme requests in November.
However there are continued fears that the increased use of iPlayer and other catch up TV and video services could end up bringing the internet to a halt as they require so much bandwidth.
