Carphone Warehouse adds 118,000 new broadband customers
Carphone Warehouse has announced its results for the 13 weeks to December 29 2007.
Although it missed its new business and revenue forecast, during the quarter it added 118,000 broadband customers. The mobile phone retailer and broadband network provider now has 2.6 million broadband customers. During the same period it also moved 221,000 broadband customers to its own network.
Despite fears that it would lost lots of TalkTalk customers (those who originally signed up for the TalkTalk free broadband deals would have been coming to the end of their contracts) the company says this has not happened to any significant degree.
Carphone Warehouse owns TalkTalk, and AOL wireless broadband.
